How to Care for an Injured Wild Bird That Cannot Fly

If you see an injured bird, you of course want to help it out. However, generally, it is not legal for you to try to care for the bird on your own. Therefore, the best course of action is to call for help, either before you try to pick up the bird or after you place the bird in a box in a safe location. Some local people or places to get help in the Inland Empire:
Wild Wings of California- wildwings.org. Phone Judy or Bob 909-592-4900. Will rescue injured hawks, owls, raptors and song birds. They do not handle game birds or water birds.
Inland Valley Humane Society handles injured birds, www.ivhsspca.org/ 909-623-9777
