The bird oasis on the Thompson Creek Trail has been renamed "The Dan Guthrie Guthrie Bird Oasis at Thompson Creek Trail"
Two infectious disease threats to wild birds have occurred recently in our area
Avian conjunctivitis: Eyes are weeping, swollen shut, or crusted over. Birds might stay on the ground, under the feeder trying to find seeds and often are easily approachable.
Avian pox: Warty lesions on the head, legs, and feet, but cannot always be easily distinguished from conjunctivitis.
